Today we gathered with law enforcement officers and families from across the state to pay tribute to Illinois’ fallen police officers. This solemn ceremony honors the bravery, service, and sacrifice of those who lost their lives in the line of duty.
Along with others, this year’s historic honorees included two former Madison County Sheriff’s Officers: Constable Isom Gillham, E.O.W. 12-11-1852, and Deputy Lindley Larrison, E.O.W. 1-15-1925.
We were honored to recognize these heroes and their loved ones in Springfield today. Bless our fallen officers and all those who protect our communities.
