State Representative Charlie Meier hosted a free Tire Recycling Event in Troy, alongside the Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce, at Triad High School. Hundreds in the community participated and two trucks were filled.
“We had another outstanding turnout at our Tire Recycling event in Troy this morning,” said Rep. Meier. “We completely filled 2 trucks and were able to take every last tire. Thank you to all who joined, and especially Edwardsville FFA Chapter and Highland FFA for helping direct traffic and load tires, and to Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce for partnering with their electronic recycling and shred event.”
Meier enlisted the help of young volunteers from local FFA chapters to load the tires into the trucks.
