State Representative Charlie Meier (R-Okawville) hosted a free tire recycling event in Trenton this week, drawing hundreds of residents and collecting a semi-truck load of tires for recycling.
Meier said he was thrilled to see the strong turnout and ensure everyone who came to the event was able to participate.
“It was a HOT day in Trenton but that did not stop us from filling another truck full of tires,” said Rep. Charlie Meier “We were happy to see hundreds of folks drop off tires that will be safely recycled. Thank you the Breese Central FFA for lending a hand! We could not have done it without you!”
Meier said he plans to continue bringing free tire recycling events to communities throughout the district and make them an annual opportunity for residents.
