Earlier this year, State Representative Charlie Meier purchased a hog at the Bond County Youth Auction. He had the hog processed at Grantfork Meats and donated half of the meat to the Bond County Food Pantry in Greenville and the other half to Pocahontas Food Pantry at the Methodist church.
“It’s wonderful to be able to provide some product to these food pantries that do so much for our community,” said Meier.
