If you live in the Nashville, IL area please be aware of the dam failure and evacuate if you are in the affected area. I have been in constant communication with the Governor’s Office, IEMA, Washington County Emergency Management Agency, and Illinois State Police regarding this issue. Looking at the radar and possibility of more rain as it’s training through the area, please evacuate in a safe manner.
Do not drive or walk through standing water and call emergency services if you need assistance.
The American Red Cross has been called in to assist and there is a shelter established at 680 W. Walnut St, Nashville, IL if you are in need.
I will provide updates when possible.
