A documentary airs on PBS tonight telling the story of neglect during the pandemic

Last year I co-sponsored legislation (SB1405) that became law to ensure individuals with disabilities, senior citizens, and other healthcare facility residents are permitted to have visitors during a public health emergency. The Reality Poets aren’t typical nursing home residents. In the new documentary which airs tonight on PBS Fire Through Dry Grass, five disabled artists document their pandemic experiences, their rhymes underscoring the danger they feel in the face of institutional neglect.

I can’t wait for the POV premiere of #FireThroughDryGrass on October 30th! Learn more at the link below: www.firethroughdrygrass.com
