Illinois Supreme Court halts the abolition of the cash bail system

The Illinois Supreme Court halted the abolition of the cash bail system hours before the new law was set to take effect. Without action, many criminals would have been able to get back on the street much faster without paying any cash bail. Happy New Year! Read more here.
