State Representative Charlie Meier (R-Okawville) issued the following statement after Illinois House Speaker Mike Madigan told colleagues today he would work to help pass an income tax increase for Governor Pritzker:
“If re-elected Speaker of the House, Madigan says he will help pass an income tax hike if Pritzker wants an increase. Unbelievable, we rejected the income tax hike in November.
