Meier appointed to committee tasked with finding ways to make college more affordable

State Representative Charlie Meier (R-Okawville) was recently appointed to serve on the Community College Access & Affordability Committee.  The new committee will be tasked with developing ways to make attending community college more affordable for Illinois residents.

“Access to affordable education is important to me and my constituents,” said Rep. Meier.  “Community colleges in general are more affordable than a four year institution and we need to provide the resources necessary to keep community colleges affordable.  Community colleges are a true asset to our local communities.”

The Community College Access & Affordability Committee is a new committee formed by the 99th Illinois General Assembly and consists of 14 members in the Illinois House of Representatives.
